Introducing BBC  Last Kingdom





The Last Kingdom originally aired 2014 in the month of October this show is nothing like the Game of thrones but it has so much to offer the series can be seen on Netflix and also has aired on BBC America. Unlike the Game of Thrones it is based on a real true events not all of them but the characters come from a series of books called the Saxon tales.





Uhrted son of Uhtred

Alexander Dreymon

Best known for his role as Luke Ramsey in 20th Century Fox’s American Horror Story; Alexander has featured in television shows across Europe and the USA, including Christopher & his Kind for BBC2, starring alongside Matt Smith and Imogen Poots.

Alexander Dreymon is a German-born actor, best known for portraying Uhtred of Bebbanburg in BBC Two’s The Last Kingdom. Dreymon was born Alexander Doetsch in Germany and grew up in France, Switzerland, Germany and the USA.

On the big screen, Alexander’s credits include John Kaufmann’s Heartlock, Blood Ransom, Sotto Il Vestito Niente and Amit Gupta’s Resistance, starring Michael Sheen and Andrea Riseborough. His acclaimed theatre performances comprise of M4M (Soho Theatre, London), Mustard (Soho Theatre, London), Fiances en Herbe (Theatre du Nord-­‐Ouest, Paris), Angels in America (Theatre du Chatelet, Paris), and The Laramie Project (Theatre du Marais, Paris)

Young Uhtred played by Tom Taylor

Tom Taylor plays the character of Young Uhtred. Aged just thirteen, this is Tom’s second acting role after an appearance in Casualty for the BBC.

Tom has undertaken extensive horse riding and stunt training for the role of Young Uhtred and performed all of his own stunts. Tom is a talented drummer, footballer and an accomplished skier. He is currently filming the Mike Bartlett series Dr Foster for the BBC.
